This is an excellent post! Mental health is definitely overlooked in athletes nowadays. I think it's very brave for these people to talk about what they're struggling with and hope it can help others too.
Mental health is such a difficult subject to talk about. Itβs really inspiring to see athletes coming forward and talking about it! Anxiety is crippling at times which is awful. I wish more people would open up! Xo
I don't know if you know much about British sports stars, but a former cricketer names Freddie Flintoff struggled with bulimia through his career and still does now. The BBC did a great documentary about his struggles

In my day job i'm a mental health researcher. Anxiety can be really paralysing for some people, even if they don't show it openly.
